First Alert Weather: Dense fog could return tonight, very warm Friday

A dense fog advisory will keep the morning drive shrouded in clouds. A dense fog advisory will keep the morning drive shrouded in clouds.

Areas of dense fog may make a return to the area this evening through Friday morning.  Friday will be unseasonably warm as highs could approach 80 in spots!  Shower chances increase and temperatures decrease over the weekend.

FRIDAY: Expect similar weather to Thursday, but temperatures may even have the means to grow a little more (especially inland). Expect highs in the mid and upper 70s! The December 6 record high (82 from 1998) may be just out of reach. Shower chance: 10%.

WEEKEND: Clouds will yield off and on showers, but day-long wash-outs appear unlikely at this time. Developing north breezes will bring a chilling temperature trend. Saturday temperatures: mid 60s. Sunday's numbers: mid 50s.

NEXT WEEK: A roller coaster.  Another surge of mild air returns Sunday night into Monday.  Monday will feature a mix of sun and clouds with highs in the low 70's.  Monday night will be mild but another surge of colder air arrives on Tuesday.  Highs in the 60's will occur early with temperatures steadily falling by afternoon.  Clouds will return along with scattered showers.  More showers are likely Wednesday.  Lows Wednesday morning will be in the low 40's.  Highs Wednesday and Thursday will be in the 50's.  Thursday's will feature a mix of sun and clouds with a small shower chance.
