Viewer tip leads to arrest of 'Most Wanted' food stamp fraud suspect

SURFSIDE BEACH, SC (WMBF) – One of the women featured on Horry County's Most Wanted on Thursday is in custody Friday morning after law enforcement received a tip from a viewer.

Ardnecia Scott, who was wanted for food stamp fraud over $10,000, was arrested during a traffic stop Friday morning by the Town of Surfside Beach Police Department, according to the Horry County Sheriff's Office.

She will be transported to J. Reuben Long Detention Center for a bond hearing.

Scott was one of two women wanted for allegedly receiving more than $10,000 in food stamps that they weren't entitled to, and if she is convicted, she could face a fine of up to $5,000 or up to 10 years in jail.

Brandon MIchael Council was arrested in Greenville, North Carolina Wednesday, along with two other people, authorities there confirmed.  Brandon Michael Council was wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of two CresCom bank employees during a bank robbery at the CresCom Bank in Conway on Monday afternoon.
