WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Officers with the Wilmington Police Department charged a man after they say they found heroin and crack cocaine in a vehicle Wednesday night.
According to police, officers were conducting a traffic stop when they approached the car and smelled marijuana.
The driver, Thomas Doiley, was arrested for no license and the passenger, Cory Powell, was arrested for possession of marijuana after police searched the vehicle.
Police say they also found 22 bindles of heroin and 1.6 grams of crack cocaine packaged for sale.
Powell has been charged with possession with the intent to sell and deliver heroin and crack cocaine, amongst other charges.
Powell was recently released from federal prison for a weapons charge and is in jail under a $50,000 bond.
