BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Three more dead dolphins have washed up on beaches in southeastern North Carolina.

Two dolphins washed up in Sunset Beach and Bald Head Island Saturday, and a third washed up Sunday.

It is unclear at this time if these dolphins had the morbilvirus, a deadly disease that is killing hundreds of dolphins across the east coast.

At least eight dolphins have washed up on area beaches so far this fall. Six of those animals tested positive for the morbilivirus.
