NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Commissioners in New Hanover County vote unanimously Monday morning to toughen its prohibition of e-cigarettes on county property.
The Board of Commissioners decided to adopt the same rules already approved by the New Hanover County Board of Health for e-cigs, which includes prohibiting use in any county owned and controlled vehicles and buildings.
It also prohibits using e-cigarettes within 50 feet of public entrances.
WECT.com reported in May on how local businesses were adjusting tobacco policies to include the increasingly popular e-cigs.
