COVINGTON, GA (CBS46) -

Jevon Freeman, 25, was shot and killed on Wednesday in what police believe was a Craigslist sell gone wrong. His fiancee, two young boys, family and friends gathered at his Covington barbershop on Sunday to remember him and warn others to be careful when meeting up with strangers.

Freeman's fiancee and the mother of his two and 5-year-old boys, Tynia Waker, said she is devastated by his death.

"For them to take their father away from them, for me to have to explain to them what it is - my kids - I don't what it is for their future," Waker said. "Because they don't have a father anymore."

Two teens were arrested in connection with is death. Clayton County police charged 18-year-old Terrance Justin Dent with murder, aggravated assault, possession of a weapon used during the commission of a crime, tampering with evidence and furnishing a pistol to a minor. A 17-year-old boy was also charged with possession of a weapon by a minor.

Martha Freeman, the victim's mother, said he used Craigslist to earn money in addition to what he made owning a barbershop.

"He used Craigslist a lot to sell different stuff that he had, and mainly it was just extra money to be able to support his family," Martha Freeman said. "He always promised me that he would never do it off in a secluded place, that he would always do it in a public view."

Jevon Freeman's last Craigslist meeting happened at a Riverdale church. His family of pastors believes he felt safe going there.

"For most people, they respect the church," Martha Freeman said. "So he was thinking that surely they wouldn't try to do anything to me on church property."

Now his mother has a message for the boys charged in connection with his death.

"You took a dad away from his boys, from seeing his boys growing up, being there for his boys, over a cell phone," Martha Freeman said.

Jevon Freeman's funeral will be at the Hands of the Lord International Church in Decatur on Nov. 16 at 11 a.m.
