Cool & breezy day, calmer, cold night

We're in for some crisp, fall air this weekend, as a northerly wind today ushers in cooler-than-average temperatures.  Expect nothing but sunshine today, with highs reaching the low 50s in the mountains and near 60° Upstate.  Wind from the north comes at 7-14mph, keeping the chill in the air.  Friday night blitz for football games will be a cold one, temperatures dropping into the 40s, with the northerly breeze sticking around.  Clear skies overnight allow temperatures to eventually drop into the upper 20s and mid-30s.

Saturday continues with sunshine, highs warming slightly into the upper 50s to low 60s.  Sunday a similar day with sunshine, but even warmer into the low 60s for the mountains, and upper 60s Upstate.

Veteran's day on Monday stays dry with just a few passing clouds, highs in the 60s area-wide.  Tuesday into Wednesday we're watching a system that should usher in another round of unseasonably cool air, and also some wet weather.  Stay tuned next week for details as we track the storm's possible development.
