March of Dimes fundraiser to start holiday season

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

The numbers really tell the whole story.  In North Carolina alone each year 16,000 babies are born too soon.

It is the mission of the March of Dimes to help those babies and their families.

To that end, the local chapter will hold it's annual fundraiser on November 7th at Rock Barn Golf and Spa in Hickory.

It is called the Signature Chefs Auction and features local chefs who cook a signature dish and guests vote on who had the best one.

Our own Christine Nelson, and a family assisted by the work of the March of Dimes, visited WBTV News Sunday Morning to talk about the event.
