OCEAN ISLE BEACH, NC (WECT) - Air One, the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office helicopter, helped spot a woman suspected of assault in Ocean Isle Beach Saturday afternoon.

Elizabeth Michelle Grig, of Arin Place, assaulted another woman with a knife and her fists, according to arrest warrants. Those warrants show Grig cut the victim on the shoulder and punched her in the face.

Grig fled into the woods, then came out to turn herself in, according to the sheriff's office. That's when Air One spotted her.

The 24-year-old woman is charged with assault with a deadly weapon and simple assault. As of Sunday, she was in the Brunswick County Detention Facility under a $2,500 bond.

Grig is expected to make her first court appearance Monday.
