Lebanon 3-year-old OK after left at wrong bus stop

LEBANON, TN (WSMV) -

A 3-year-old Wilson County boy was left at the wrong bus stop Wednesday afternoon, but his parents are say they are resting a bit easier after he was found OK.

The child attends Sam Houston Elementary School and instead of getting dropped off at his normal bus stop, he ended up at a daycare by mistake.

Stephen Hollis, the boy's father, says his son spent about 20 minutes at the daycare before he picked him up.

The director of schools of the Lebanon Special School District, Scott Benson, said it's extremely unfortunate what happened, and they are grateful the boy is safe.

Benson said they do have precautions in place to keep kids safe, but after what happened Wednesday, more will be in place starting Thursday.
