COPY-Volcano continues to rumble

VANCOUVER, Wash. Earthquakes continue to rumble under Mount St. Helens and scientists still think there is a 70 percent chance of a small eruption.

Scientists at the Cascades Volcano Observatory in Vancouver, Washington, report three or four quakes a minute with the largest a magnitude three-point-three.They are still checking gases, thermal imaging, and changes in the lava dome and the side of the volcano for signs that magma might be moving in the mountain. An eruption could shower the mountain with rocks, send up a cloud of ash, or ooze magma in the crater.Scientists do not expect a repeat of the 1980 blast, which killed 57 people.
