Kathy Snow directs the choir at a recording session Sunday afternoon.
WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A choir group from Wilmington will be making its big debut on the silver screen.
Snow's Gospel Singers recorded vocals Sunday for their part in Hollywood East's latest production, The Squeeze.
Kathy Snow, the choir leader, sent information about the group a few weeks ago after learning The Squeeze was looking for a choir.
Director Terry Jastrow and producer Michael Doven sat in on one of the choir's rehearsals and hired them on the spot. After listening to a second rehearsal, Jastrow decided to cast them for a second scene.
"A lot of people get to be extras in a movie, but we are featured," said Snow. "We're the opening scene when the movie starts. It is really going to be incredible to see this many kids from Wilmington in the choir performing together."
Snow's Gospel Singers will shoot their scene at Airlie Gardens Monday afternoon, and will be featured in the opening and ending scenes of The Squeeze.
