WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – A movie filmed in Wilmington will make its world premiere at the NYC Independent Film Festival this week.

Don't Know Yet stars James Kyson (Heroes) and Lisa Goldstein (One Tree Hill). The movie will debut at the film festival on Thursday, October 17, 7:00 p.m.

Terry Linehan, a UNCW professor, wrote and directed the feature film.

The movie is about a heartbroken man looking for life's answers as he travels through North Carolina, giving rides to hitchhikers.

David Andrews (World War Z), Bill Ladd and Jane McNeill Balter (The Walking Dead) also make appearances in the flick.

You can watch the trailer for the film here.

Students from UNCW's Department of Film Studies also helped bring the script to life.

While in Wilmington, they shot on location at the Goody Goody Omelet House, Lula's Pub, and Jackson's Big Oak BBQ. They also shot scenes near Asheville.

Linehan called the movie "a love letter to the state of North Carolina."
