SYLVANIA TOWNSHIP, OH (Toledo News Now) -
Sylvania Township Police Department says it's seeing significantly fewer
service calls compared to last year.
Chief Rob Boehme says it has been a great year for the township. The department's
overall crime statistics are down, including their calls for service.
chief says the department has received 2,944 fewer calls this year compared to
last year at this time. That includes 13 fewer robberies and 32 fewer
burglaries. Assaults, thefts and OVIs
are all down, as well.

hard work and their presence in the community.

department that visibility is a great deterrent. We've always done that. I
think that our road patrol officers do an excellent job of being very visible."
