WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - TheatreNOW's newest production is sure to get audiences in the Halloween spirit.
Fright Night brings creepy tales of the Cape Fear region to life with stories inspired by the Ghost Walk of Old Wilmington and classic horror movies.
It promises to be a good time, even for the kids.
"You don't need to leave them in the car," joked actress Penny Kohut. "You're certainly welcome to, but I'd say bring them in. They'll love it. It's not scary, scary, horrible scary. It's scary sort of fun scary."
And the show is sure to get everyone ready for the holiday.
"This is Halloween," said Kohut. "You need to come and get into the spirit of things. Besides that, we all want to keep our jobs or that would be very scary."
Each performance includes a three-course meal. The menu is as follows:
First Course (Choose one) "Bride of Frankenstein" Bruschetta Crispy bread topped with a blend of Cheeses, Olives & Roasted Red Pepper OR Bloody Beet Salad fresh Beets with Mandarin Orange, Almonds, Red Onion, & Mango-Orange Vinaigrette
Second Course (Choose one) Brains & Eyeballs House-made Pasta & Meatballs in a blood red sauce with Garlic Bread (Vegetarian Meatballs are available) OR Zombie Chicken Bacon-wrapped Chicken Breast, topped with Cheesy B-movie Sauce, Boo-licious Broccoli and crispy Mummy's "toes" (Potatoes) OR "Frankenfish" Salmon Grilled salmon filet, served with Backwoods Bayou Tartar Sauce Boo-licious Broccoli and crispy Mummy's "toes" (Potatoes)
