OAK ISLAND, NC (WECT) - NCDOT crews will be working on
a preservation project for the Barbee Bridge in Oak Island starting Monday.
All travel lanes will remain open during the project; however, they will be
narrowed by 10 feet. Motorists should not travel faster than 25 miles per hour through the area.
This portion of the preservation project is expected to be
completed by Friday, Dec. 20.
Lane closures will begin in the Spring.
