Four suspects face kidnapping and assault charges in connection to a robbery, according to a spokesperson for the Pender County Sheriff's Office.
PENDER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Four suspects face kidnapping and assault charges in connection to a robbery, according to a spokesperson for the Pender County Sheriff's Office.
A police report filed by the victim involved says that Monday, the suspects allegedly lured him to their home, and when he arrived, they assaulted him, stole his money and forced him to have crack cocaine delivered to the home.
The following suspects were charged in connection to the robbery:
Brandon Trevor Simpson, 28, of Burgaw
Jacob Leamon Rivenbark, 20, of Wallace
Brandon Scott Drinkwater, 22, of Burgaw
Brandy Nichole Elkins, 19, of Burgaw
The charges they face include robbery with a dangerous weapon, kidnapping, conspiring to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, assault by pointing a gun, assault with a deadly weapon.
The suspects remain in the Pender County Jail under a $180,000 bond, other than Rivenbark, whose bond is set at $190,000 due to outstanding warrants in Duplin County.
The suspects are expected to make their first court appearance Oct. 9.
