WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – City leaders in Wilmington got a demonstration of what new lights would look like on the historic Kenan Fountain.
Graybar Services showed off its proposal tonight bringing an estimated cost between $25,000 and $30,000.
A second proposal by Musco Lighting is estimated to be about double the cost. That company will demonstrate its lighting proposal next Tuesday night.
Council members will then decide which proposal is best for the protection of the fountain, which has been struck dozens of times by cars over the past few years.
