4 arrested after Whiteville Police use Tasers to break up fight

WHITEVILLE, NC (WECT) - Police in Whiteville had to use Tasers and call four other law enforcement agencies to break up a large fight Saturday.

Officer responded to Cook Apartments on West Burkhead Street in reference to shots fired.

Upon arrival, officers found that one the people living there was having a party inside her apartment. Officers spoke to several witnesses trying to figure out where the gun shots came from. Witnesses say the shots came from a car driving by.

Whiteville Police stayed in the area as the party cleared out in an attempt to keep the peace.

Soon they heard what sounded like a fight coming from inside the apartment where the party was. As they made their way into apartment to break up fight, some of the partygoers became hostile towards the officers.

During this time, Tyrone Faulk, Jr. is accused of grabbing one of the officers by the shoulder, resulting in another officer using a Taser on him.

This angered many of the party guest including David Lee Mosley who approached officers in an aggressive manner. Mosley refused commands to stay back and was charged with disorderly conduct.

Two others were charged with disorderly conduct for their use of profanity towards officers on scene.
