J. Pierrepont Finch rises from window washer to chairman of the board, mainly on his charms, finding a love interest along the way.
The musical has gained recent attention with its Broadway revival starring Daniel Radcliffe of Harry Potter fame, but the Wilmington cast says this is a show that just doesn't go out of style.
"It's always relatable," said actor Adam Poole. "People are always trying to network and get to the top in corporate situations, trying to work their certain angles to be promoted and try to stay on people's good side. It's one of those classic musicals that everyone seems to respond to very well. A lot of big numbers, a lot of big dance numbers. The music's very catchy."
This is also a show the cast believes will leave the audience in high spirits.
"It's fun," said Poole. "Everybody will have a great time, I think. You've got to love live theater. Action in your face. It's a blast. We're going to blow you away."
