Officers with the Wilmington Police Department are investigating an armed robbery and kidnapping that happened just after midnight Tuesday at the Domino's in the 2400 block of Carolina Beach Road. WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Officers with the Wilmington Police Department are investigating an armed robbery and kidnapping that happened just after midnight Tuesday at the Domino's in the 2400 block of Carolina Beach Road.

According to police, employees said they were closing up the store when two men approached them in the parking lot.

The victims told police the suspects used a gun to force them back into the store and open the safe.

Police said money was taken from the safe and employees, who were then forced into a freezer for 15 minutes, as directed by the robbers.

Officers are questioning individuals but no one is in custody at this time.
