(WECT) - You will likely be paying more for that candy bar this Halloween, as chocolate prices are expected to climb.
There's a growing demand for chocolate, and a dry season in West Africa, where 70 percent of the world's cocoa beans are grown, is expected to hurt the fall harvest.
In the U.S. alone, the cost of 1 kilogram of chocolate is expected to hit more than $12 this year.
That's a 45 percent increase from 2007.
