BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Detectives with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office arrested two people Thursday morning in connection to an assault that happened earlier this month in Little River.
According to the sheriff's office, 25-year-old Lawrence Wayne Jester, of Shallotte, and 28-year-old Misty Fawn Kelly, of Ocean Isle Beach, are accused of beating a man from Little River September 14 and stripping him of his clothes.
The sheriff's office said the victim left Jay's Bar and Restaurant in Little River around 2:45 a.m. with Jester and Kelly. The victim told authorities they all went to his house after the bar and that's when he was assaulted and robbed.
Jester and Kelly were each charged with common law robbery, first degree kidnapping, felony conspiracy, and assault inflicting serious injury.
