Cancer survivors exchange stories during Women of Hope luncheon

Dozens of female cancer survivors gathered Thursday for the 2nd Annual Celebrating Hope Luncheon. Dozens of female cancer survivors gathered Thursday for the 2nd Annual Celebrating Hope Luncheon.

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Dozens of female cancer survivors gathered Thursday for the 2nd Annual Celebrating Hope Luncheon.

WECT's Frances Weller served as the emcee for the event and several survivors and caregivers gave inspiring testimonials.

Women of Hope is a non-profit organization that provides education, financial assistance and support programs.

According to a news release, the organization is now able to provide monthly support programs for female cancer survivors in New Hanover, Pender and Duplin counties.

Women of Hope is dedicated to making the quality of life better for female cancer patients, caregivers and their families.
