The body of 26-year old Barry Greer washed ashore in Oak Island early Tuesday morning.
The coast guard says just before four o'clock Saturday afternoon they got the call that two men were in the water with their boat circling around them.
The coast guard found one of the men floating in the water, clinging to a cushion from the boat. According to coast guard officials, he was brought on board, barely breathing with his lungs full of water. That man was life-flighted to Northeast Regional Medical Center where he is in stable condition. Ryan Aman has been released form the hospital.
Coast guard officials say rough waters are probably to blame for knocking the men out of their boat.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday for Greer. Greer is survived by his wife and four year old daughter.
