SEMINOLE COUNTY, FL (WECT) - Will Breazeale, a former local candidate for Congress who was arrested on charges of stalking and threatening his ex-wife, has taken a plea deal, according to Diana Tennis, Breazeale's attorney.
The plea deal means that the felony charges were dropped to misdemeanors, and Breazeale will serve 12 months of probation and. As long as he complies with the rules, the court will drop all charges.
He is to have no contact with his ex-wife, who is the city manager in Oviedo, near Orlando.
Breazeale lost to Congressman Mike McIntyre in the 2008 election, and to Ilario Pantano in the 2010 Republican primary.
We spoke with Breazeale Tuesday, who said that he is considering running for the State House seat currently occupied by Rep. Susi Hamilton.
That seat is up next year.
