WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – The Wilmington Housing Authority Board of Commissioners announced the final settlement between the WHA and Michael J. Krause, the group's former CEO who was fired after allegedly driving while impaired, a spokesperson for the WHA announced Tuesday.
Because of his contract, Krause will be compensated as part of the termination in the amount of $42,163.03. That payment includes three months' salary, final pay, accrued sick leave and accrued vacation pay.
Members of the housing authority will meet Friday morning to discuss searching for a new CEO.
