Man out on bond for drug charges back in jail for new charges

WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – A man who was out on bond for other drug charges is back in jail under a $200,000.

According to police, officers searched a home on Lancaster Road Thursday afternoon after receiving a tip that a man living there was selling prescription medication and other illegal drugs.

Officers found more than 30 Methadone pills inside the home.

Reginald Cornelius Hawkins, 51, was arrested and charged in connection to:

  • possession with intent to sell and deliver schedule II
  • sell and deliver schedule II
  • trafficking by possession of schedule II
  • maintaining a dwelling for the purpose of keeping a controlled substance
  • 3 counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon
