A 60-year-old man was arrested for allegedly getting behind the wheel with an alcohol level roughly three times the legal limit.
The Cottonwood Police Department said Warren Wardius of Cornville, ran a red light and was pulled over on Highway 89 between west Mingus Avenue and South Willard Street in Cottonwood on Sunday.
Police said Wardius got out of the vehicle, but didn't listen to the officers' commands to keep his hands up.
When he was told to kneel, he fell and at one point leaned on a patrol car to keep his balance, according to the police report.
During a pat down, a 45 caliber semi-automatic pistol was found in his front waistband.
It was removed and placed as evidence in connection with a road rage case investigated by the Yavapai County Sheriff's Office.
Police said Warren had a breath analysis which determined his blood alcohol content was over .20 percent. The legal limit is .08 percent.
He was arrested on four counts of DUI.
