Friday, he finished up his first bike for someone outside of this state. The purple bike with flower decals is for a seven-year-old girl in Colorado.
"I'm very proud of how it's turned out," said Prince. "I know she's going to be very excited. She's been waiting a while to get it, and we're just really excited to get this project to the next level."
Prince said his special tricycles are arm-powered and require no leg use. He hopes the tricycles give disabled children the same opportunities that children who can ride regular bikes get.
"There's a lot of children with disabilities, and hopefully this has opened a great door for them to get out in the outside world and get out in the neighborhoods and keep up with the other kids and have something for the other kids to be envious of," said Prince.
Prince accepts donations to fund the tricycle construction. He can be reached at (910) 431-8876.
