BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) - The Boiling Spring Lakes Police Department has received a prescription drop box that is available to the public.
According to a news release from the Boiling Spring Lakes Police Department, the prescription box was provided through a grant from the National Association of Drug Diversion Investigators (NADDI) and is sponsored by Endo Pharmaceuticals.
The public can discard their unwanted medications in the box Monday through Friday between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.
The box will be located in the police department at 9 E. Boiling Spring Rd.
Police say residents should not use this service for needles, syringes or lancets, intravenous (IV) bags or liquids, thermometers, personal care items, used gauze or bandages, or infectious waste of any kind.
