BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Law enforcement officials performed unannounced compliance checks Tuesday at the homes of more than 60 sex offenders, according to Cpt. Hester with the Bladen County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities will follow up with four registered offenders to determine whether or not they were in violation of sex registry law, and if they're found to be in violation, they'll be charged with a felony.
Officials with the sheriff's office, the U.S. Marshal's Service, North Carolina Probation and Parole and the Elizabethtown Police Department conducted the checks.
