(RNN) – Lisa Robin Kelly, the actress who played Topher Grace's older sister on the series That ‘70s Show, has passed away. She was 43 years old.
CNN is reporting that Kelly checked into a treatment facility in Los Angeles this week. She passed away in her sleep on Wednesday night.
"Lisa had voluntarily checked herself into a treatment facility early this week where she was battling the addiction problems that have plagued her these past few years," said Kelly's agent Craig Wyckoff.
Wyckoff said when he last spoke to her on Monday, she was "hopeful and confident" as she looked forward to getting her life together.
"(Wednesday) night she lost the battle," Wyckoff said.
Wyckoff said no cause of death has been reported and no death certificate has been issued.
Kelly has had a recent string of assault and DUI arrests.
Kelly portrayed Laurie Forman in 50 episodes of the Fox series from 1998-2003, according to the Internet Movie Database. She was the first actress to portray the eldest sister on the series. The series ended in 2006.
Kelly was born March 5, 1970 in Southington, CT. According to IMDB, she graduated from DePaul University's Goodman School of Drama with a BFA in Acting in 1992. She is survived by her husband, Robert Joseph Gilliam, 61. The pair had been estranged because of an incident of spousal abuse in 2012.
