Detectives make one of the largest heroin seizures in NHCSO history

NEW HANOVER COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Detectives with the Vice/Narcotics division of the New Hanover County Sheriff's Office have made one of the largest heroin seizures in the department's history.

According to the NHCSO, the six-month investigation led to the execution of a search warrant at 609 Chowing Place and then 210 Greenwich Lane.

A total of 14,750 bags of heroin were seized during the investigation and two people were arrested and charged.

Samuel Bernard Williams, 34, and Kevin Che Robinson, 36, are both being held in lieu of a $3 million secured bond.

Williams was charged with:

  • trafficking heroin – 6 counts
  • conspiracy to traffic heroin – 1 count
  • possession w/intent to sell/deliver heroin– 5 counts
  • sell and/or deliver heroin – 2 counts
  • maintaining a dwelling – cont. substance – 3 counts
  • conspiracy to sell/deliver heroin – 1 count
  • possession of drug paraphernalia – 5 counts
  • resist/delay/obstruct – 1 count

Robinson was charged with:

  • trafficking heroin – 6 counts
  • conspiracy to traffic heroin – 1 count
  • possession w/intent to sell/deliver heroin-4 counts
  • maintaining a dwelling-cont. substance-3 counts
  • conspiracy to sell/deliver heroin – 1 count
  • possession of drug paraphernalia – 5 counts
  • felony elude arrest
