WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - A local actor who landed a spot on one of the most popular shows on Black Entertainment Television has signed on for a second season.

Dominic Santana recently learned the producers of The Game want him back for the new season of the hit show on BET.

The comedy is about professional football players and their significant others and how they deal with fame, family, and friends.

Santana, who stands 6'5" tall is interestingly enough not one of the professional football players in the show. He plays the role of Kevin Pierce.

"Rockmond Dunbar's character starts a company and I actually have come to help him to work with his company so that's where I come into play," Santana says.

Raised in Fayetteville, Santana moved to Wilmington with this family after high school. That's when he got the acting bug.

Santana says he was surprised to find a movie studio here but making his way into the business turned out to be a good fit.

He would land a role in One Tree Hill, filmed here in Wilmington. He's also had roles in Love for Sale, and Dead Heist.

As for his acting future, Santana says the best is yet to come.

"I'm not Will Smith---yet. But I'm getting there," he says with a smile.
