Authorities said the incidents were reported on the following streets:
According to police, most break-ins happened around parking lots and open areas. Many of the vehicles were left open or unlocked.
Police said the suspects took electronics and GPS devices.
The WPD offers the following tips to help prevent break-ins to your vehicle:
• Since most auto thefts occur at night, park in well lighted areas
• Consider purchasing a vehicle security system
• Remove expensive items from plain view
• Keep your vehicle registration info and proof of financial responsibility ID in a secure place in the vehicle. Consider hiding them in an unusual location in your car like attached under a seat or in a secluded storage area in the trunk.
