BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) – Authorities say an Elizabethtown man faces charges after allegedly shooting his brother.
Tony Elmore Lewis, 51, has been charged with attempted murder, according to Cpt. Hester with the Bladen County Sheriff's Office.
Deputies were dispatched to the scene of a shooting at a home in the 90 block of Curtis Lewis Road around 5 p.m. Tuesday. Upon arrival, they found the victim, Terry Devane Lewis of Dublin, in the front yard with a shotgun wound to his stomach.
Tony, who was inside of the home, refused to come out, and he had several weapons inside with him.
After the Robeson County Sheriff's Office tactical team arrived and used tear gas inside the home, Tony surrendered. He remains in jail under a $104,100 bond.
Terry remains in critical condition in an area hospital.
Along with the Robeson County Sheriff's Office, the SBI, Bladen County Emergency Services, Bladen County EMS and the Dublin Fire Department all assisted the Bladen County Sheriff's Office.
