LAKE LURE, NC (WECT) – Fans of Dirty Dancing, get ready to have the time of your life.
The annual Dirty Dancing Festival is taking place August 17 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. at Morse Park Meadows in Lake Lure, North Carolina.
Much of the classic film was shot at Lake Lure.
This is the third year for the event which includes dance lessons, shagging and of course, the so-called lake lift.
The festival will raise money this year to find a cure for pancreatic cancer, the form of cancer that killed actor Patrick Swayze, who starred in the movie.
