Recently many of you were affected by the recent disruption of our signal on the DISH Network system. As you know by now, we are back on the DISH lineup. We know this has been an inconvenience for you and your family. We want to thank you for your patience, and above all else, your loyalty during this time.
Many of you called and emailed us. Others posted comments on our Facebook page. We had the pleasure of speaking or corresponding with many of you.
And although I didn't much care for the circumstances that brought us together on the phone, I did enjoy the conversations. It was gratifying to hear some of the heartfelt stories of how much this station means to you and is such a big part of your daily routines. That was the silver lining for me.
WECT has served this community for nearly 60 years and our commitment to you is stronger than ever. We take great pride in being your source for entertainment, local news, weather and sports right here in the Cape Fear region.
Speaking on behalf of the 80 or so people that work here at WECT, I thank you so much for your patience and loyalty.

I enjoyed your "Your Turn" commentary tonight. Being among
those affected, it was a great disappointment to have our service
disrupted. Needless to say, we are very happy to have our WECT
back!! We begin our day with you, and end it with you as well. It was very thoughtful of you to take the time to return my call & to just
listen as I rambled on. You were especially kind to bear with me, as I
was in the play place at McDonald's with my little ones when you called.
