Police believe home invasion on Nash Drive was drug related

Investigators with the Wilmington Police Department believe an early morning home invasion that happened Tuesday in the 100 block of Nash Drive was drug related. WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) - Investigators with the Wilmington Police Department believe an early morning home invasion that happened Tuesday in the 100 block of Nash Drive was drug related.

Police say two men went into the home around 5:00 a.m. and robbed a man at gun point.

A man who lives at the residence told officials the suspects smashed a sliding glass door in the back of his house.

He said one of the men had a gun and was wearing a black hoodie. The other man was wearing a red hoodie and had a baseball bat.

According to police, both men ran away from the house. Officers were able to take one suspect in custody, but are still searching for the other.

Police charged the victim of this home invasion with possession of drug paraphernalia.
