The classic musical focuses on a love triangle between Curly, Laurey and Jud, which actually ends with a bit of tragedy.
But with songs like Oh, What a Beautiful Morning, Kansas City, and the title track, it's hard not to leave without a smile.
"It's a real charming show, and it's Rodgers and Hammerstein," said actor Nygel Robinson. "That music is beautiful, and their music has got to live forever and ever and ever. I think it needs to live in heaven. God needs to bring that to heaven because it's the best music I've ever heard in my life."
And it's not just the music that's been captivating audiences for years.
"That central love story is really nice," said Robinson. "It should withstand the test of time. It should be a fun night out, because it's a fun show. It's a big, flashy musical."
