Gas station homicide suspects in custody after SWAT standoff

CLEVELAND, OH (WOIO) -

Three suspects wanted for the murder of a gas station clerk are now in police custody after a SWAT standoff on Cleveland's east side.

The suspects barricaded themselves inside a house around 10:30 a.m. in the 3400 block East 69th off of Union. Victor Flournoy, 19, and 2 juveniles, were wanted by the Cleveland Police Department for the murder of a gas station clerk on July 30, 2013. They surrendered to police around 11:30 a.m. without incident.

The trio allegedly entered the Biggies Food Mart and Gas Station on East 55th and Cedar at approximately 3:15am and shot 2 employees. Mohammed T. Ismail, 48, was killed and Esmeil M. Ayad, 28, was injured.

The suspects were arrested without incident. They were booked at the Central Prison Unit where the adult will remain; the juveniles were transferred to the Juvenile Detention Center.
