A Murfreesboro family is in mourning, after a wreck, Wednesday, took the life of 10-year-old Linsey Weaver of Murfreesboro.
"She always told me, every time we drove by a big house, 'Mama, why can't we live in a big house?' " said Linsey's mother, Andrea Weaver. "Now she's in that mansion of gold floors, and walls and streets. She'll be that angel on my shoulder, for the rest of my life."
Weaver said she was traveling down Gladeville Road, in Gladeville this week, when rounding a curve, she lost control of her car, and hit another vehicle. The Tennessee Highway Patrol said the driver of the other car wasn't hurt, but Linsey was killed in the crash. Linsey's 12-year-old brother Zachary is still recovering from a concussion, and bleeding in the brain.
"He's very heart broke," said Weaver. "This is his sister, his only sister. It's going to be very difficult for him."
At the scene of the crash Saturday, was a cross alongside an 'L' for 'Linsey'. Linsey's family said they didn't put the cross there. They don't know who did.
"I can guarantee you that she went to heaven knowing she was loved by everybody," said Weaver.
Weaver said, she wants her daughter remembered as an artist and gymnast, who dreamed of one day being a veterinarian.
"I just want to tell her, cause I know she's listening, that I love her with all my heart, and I always will," said Weaver. "I can see her with those big pretty angel wings."
Linsey's funeral is being held Sunday at Partlow Funeral Chapel in Lebanon. There's a benefit account set up in her name at Wilson Bank and Trust.
