BLADEN COUNTY, NC (WECT) – People in Bladen County are taking action against a private land owner and the Fayetteville Public Works Commission.

A plan was put into place earlier this month that would allow bio-solid waste to be dumped in the community near the town of Tar Heel.

The proposal brought up health concerns for neighbors in the area. Now, a petition is circulating with more than 1,000 petitions.

Many neighbors are also writing letters to the state, asking for re-consideration on the deal.
