WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds) will star in the new Hallmark Hall of Fame movie that's coming to Hollywood East.
The film, called Christmas in Conway will shoot on location in Wilmington beginning August 5. We first reported that the movie picked Hollywood East for filming last week.
In a press release from the Wilmington Regional Film Commission, its director, Johnny Griffin stated, "Hallmark Hall of Fame has a rich tradition of producing films in this region. We are glad to welcome them back again. We appreciate their commitment and loyalty to this region."
According to the release, Christmas in Conway will be the second Hallmark production in the last three years to shoot in the Wilmington.
In 2012, A Smile as Big as the Moon was shot in the Wilmington area. It starred John Corbett (Sex in the City, My Big Fat Greek Wedding).
This is the third Hallmark movie for Parker, a two-time Golden Globe winner.
