HARVEY, LA (WWL) -

Authorities are investigating the disappearance of a 6-year-old girl from the apartment complex of 2920 Destrehan Ave, authorities said Saturday.

Ahitta Hill was sleeping at home last night around 11 p.m., but her mother awoke around 9 a.m. Saturday to find her missing. Detectives said several of the child's personal items are also missing.

The front door of the apartment was open and there were no signs of forced entry, detectives said. Authorities spoke to the mother and her neighbors for additional information.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of this child, or who may have information in her disappearance is asked to contact the JPSO Missing Persons Bureau at 504-364-5300 or Crimestoppers at 822-1111.
