BRUNSWICK COUNTY, NC (WECT) – An Albermarle man charged with indecent liberties with a child was moved from the Stanly County Detention Facility to Brunswick County Friday.
Deputies with the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office and the Stanly County Sheriff's Office worked together in the arrest of 68-year-old Clyde Wesley Way.
According to the Brunswick County Sheriff's Office, Way was charged with 16 counts of first degree sex exploit with a minor, four counts of indecent liberties with a child, and other charges.
Officials say the incidents occurred between June 24 and June 29 at the North Carolina Baptist Assembly at Fort Caswell and involved four juvenile males between the ages of ten and 13-years-old (Way is not an employee there).
Way is expected to make his first court appearance Monday.
