WILMINGTON, NC (WECT) – The fifth suspect in an armed home invasion in Wilmington was in handcuffs as soon as he was out of the hospital.
Jamar Hakeem Gordon, of Leland, was shot when he and four others charged into a home on Colwell Avenue just after midnight on July 3, according to Wilmington police.
He spent several days in the hospital and has since been released. That's when officers arrested him.
Gordon is charged with kidnapping, burglary and two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon. All five suspects face similar charges.
A woman living at the home described the suspects as busting through the backdoor with a shotgun, according to the 911 call.
The man who shot Gordon will not be charged.
