TEMPE, AZ (CBS5) -

It has been three weeks since Adrienne Salinas went missing.

Family and friends of the Tempe teen have been handing out fliers all over the Valley hoping someone will recognize her and come forward with information.

Both Tempe police and the FBI are working the case with no break so far.

Salinas' boyfriend, Francisco Arteaga, was one of the last people to see her before she disappeared in the early morning hours of June 15.

Tempe police told CBS5 News he is not a suspect or a person of interest and has been very cooperative with them.

Arteaga said the last he heard from Salinas was around 4:40 a.m. on June 15 - a half hour before her cell phone went dead.

The text message read, "I'm coming over."

But, she never did.

"It's the hardest thing ever," said Arteaga. "It's impossible not to think about her. It's impossible. There's never been a week where I haven't seen her. It's been three weeks now. It's scary."

Arteaga and Salinas grew up together and have dated on and off for several years.

He described the missing 19-year-old as his best friend.

"We have so many childhood memories, so many memories," Arteaga said. "And, that's what's keeping me strong."

Since Salinas went missing from her Tempe neighborhood near Hardy and Fifth Street, Arteaga – along with Salinas' family and many friends – have plastered the city with posters of the young woman.

They've even started a Facebook page to spread the word.

"It's impossible for her to have just vanished into thin air," said Rick Salinas, Adrienne Salinas' father. "Somebody knows something. And, we're just pleading with that person, that someone, to just come forward and give us information so that we can get her back."

Rick Salinas describes the past few weeks without his daughter as "living a nightmare."

He's heartbroken – yet, trying to remain strong.

He said those who love his daughter have no choice but to hold on to hope.

"We can't waste any energy or thought on the worst-case scenario," said Rick Salinas. "I mean, there's no reason for that."

Arteaga has that same determination.

The focus is finding Adrienne Salinas – no exception.

"We're not going to give up until we find out what happened," said Arteaga. "It's important that we keep the word out there. We have to. We're her only – we're her voice."

If you have any information that could help in the search for Adrienne Salinas call Tempe police at 480-350-8311 or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.

A $10,000 reward is being offered for her safe return.
