A motorcycle driver is in serious condition after being hit by a drunk driver on the Fourth of July.
Brimfield police say that 53-year-old Eugene Taglieri, of Brimfield, was on his motorcycle driving westbound on Route 20 when the driver of a car, 53-year-old John Kennedy, of Ludlow, collided with him as he turned into County Line gas station.
Taglieri was taken by a medical helicopter to UMass Memorial Medical Center in Worcester with serious leg injuries. He is expected to be OK.
Brimfield police arrested Kennedy for operating under the influence, failure to yield to an oncoming vehicle, having an open container and for negligent operation.
